BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVE :

All major surveys indicate that the number of expatriates in India is going to increase. At the same time India is listed as one of the most difficult relocation destinations (2nd after China as per the Global Relocation Trend Survey 2010). The number of Indians relocating to other countries has also been going up steadily for the last decade or so.

Managing expatriates effectively, hence, is becoming an increasingly critical and strategic process in most organizations.

But there are challenges, some of these are:

1.     How to measure effectiveness of the expatriate management process?
2.     What defines the profile of a successful expatriate?
3.     What is the best way to support the process of acculturation?
4.     How to take care of career and performance management processes for expatriates?
5.     How to ease stress and support relocation for the family members?
6.     What part of relocation processes could be outsourced and how?
7.     What are the global best (and worst) practices in the field?
8.     What are the future trends in expatriate management?

SIETAR India , Pune Chapter has taken the initiative to organize a roundtable of all stakeholders in the process ( Expats, Spouses, Relocation companies, HR managers, Consultants) to share their views and experiences and learn from each other.

Participants will have an opportunity to discuss issues like the ones mentioned above with highly experienced and knowledgeable panel of speakers in this area. The goal of the program is to share learning, experiences, practices and generate some really interesting ideas for participants to take back with them.

Don’t miss this very unique opportunity to network, share and learn !

  1. Even tourists need to be aware of the expectation. There are regulations that need to be set.
