From Anil Paranjape
Hi,
As you know, Grubshup is based on the sustainable and responsible business
plank. As part of our social responsibility, we have been screening
documentaries along with commentary by subject-matter experts (or documentary
makers themselves). We do this in partnership with Black Swan.
We're pleased to bring another award-winning documentary on this Sunday,
10am at Grubshup. 'The Dark Side of Chocolate' exposes a very sinister
underbelly of the industry where child exploitation, slavery and environmental
destruction is rampant at the source: cacao plantations.
What gives us even more pleasure is the fact that we will have a world-wide authority on the chocolate industry, the ex-GM of Cadburys, Mr. Ajit Tawde to comment on the documentary and answer all questions about the chocolate industry in an informal setting. I am often amazed at the wealth of hidden talent that Pune has. Ajit has been in the chocolate industry for the last 25 years and has managed all aspects of chocolates at Cadburys, from R&D to operations and sales.

A poster is attached as usual. After seeing this documentary, my favorite
snack doesn't taste the same anymore. The point, however, is not to heap guilt
on the chocolate consumption but to find more responsible ways of sourcing and
harvesting it. In our discussion with Ajit after the documentary, we will try
to focus on that.
You have always supported all these things that we regularly do. Your
support has been amazing. I hope you will continue to support us the way you
have beenI can be reached at 90110-56303. Please try to reserve your seat ASAP.
The seating is very limited (35 seats only) and filled on the first come, first
seated basis.
Please forward this to whoever might be interested.
thx
