A person born blind has never seen the light yet has a perceived vision, which enables the person to walk on the railway platform without falling on the tracks. You will find many blind people in the trains, who have a way of finding their way despite all the potholes, open gutters, trenches, nallahs, vehicles, hawkers and the dense crowd of people. We seem to be future-blind - bothered by the problems of the past, grappling with the present reality and similarly worrying about the negatively imagined future eventualities.  Lord Buddha became a spiritual leader when He found his way from this world to his Divine Destination-Eternal peace in Heaven. When Sir Edmund Hillary made up his mind to conquer Mount Everest, he tried to somehow find a way to the top of the peak. When Neil Armstrong decided to walk on the Moon, the NASA team found the way to the Moon, which enabled him to land on the Moon. Dhirubhai Ambani  found a concrete way to achieve his cherished dream of establishing his own corporate empire.

Is Leadership just a show of some skill-sets ? There are some common areas between leadership and ‘guruship’. It is not enough a leader being a person of character and competence, who is unable to influence others similarly to bring out the best in others. All the expertise and experience of the leader will be useless unless exploited by others for specific purpose, to achieve specific targets within a specific timeframe.

A Leader is a Guru, who builds the character and competence of others and makes them confident to work wonders, bringing out their best. A great leader literally induces hope and confidence in others and technically guides them to make more out of little, for the common good of the society or service to mankind, as a result of which the leader is bound to make spiritual, psychological, social and financial gains.

Small Steps Big results

In my last visit to Hyderabad, while talking to my cab driver, I came to know that many people like him have came together and formed a small NGO named   Social Welfare Society . They are trying to address their local issues. Recently they approached High court along with other societies and put a stay on construction going around heritage Golconda fort.
This NGO is also working on communal harmony. Some political parties are not liking this and members are being harassed as well, but members are not deterred and working for their issues.

Such small clubs or NGOs are completely unaware of power of social media and not capable to use that. Cab driver requested me to put it on internet so that he can gain some support over web.

Pubmatic Acquires MobiPrimo, Integrates Mobile Into Ad Platform

As hot for mobile as its publisher clients, PubMatic just announced the acquisition of MobiPrimo. An established mobile development technology firm, MobiPrimo clients include Nokia, Motorola and Microsoft. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Per the deal, PubMatic is planning to integrate the mobile platform with top mobile networks, ad servers and demand-side platforms.  

“Integrating mobile into our platform simplifies a previously complex effort,” said Josh Wetzel, vice president of mobile at PubMatic. “Now, we’re giving publishers a single platform.”
