OUR BACKGROUND
SAMPARC started its charity work with a very humble beginning at a small mud house in Bhaje, near Lonavla in Maharashtra with 7 orphan children and meagre resources. Mr Amit Banerjee & Mrs Lata Pande, two committed social workers, devoted their life to change the life of not only the deprived children but also the society in which they live in. Mr Banerjee, basically a boodhan worker, now serves as the Chairman, Child Welfare Committee, Pune, Government of Maharashtra.

MISSION & OBJECTIVES
Our Mission is “To empower The Poor, Needy Children And Disadvantaged Community People To Maximize Their Potential And Help Them Become Independent And Self-Reliant”. We believe that Educational and Cultural changes in the minds of the people and community lead to change in the Society. Our objectives are (1) Rehabilitation, Care and Education of Orphans, children of sex workers, children whose parents are serving imprisonment and needy disadvantaged rural children, and (2) Rural Community Development.

The Shel-Pimpalgaon Balgram was established in the year 2000. It is located in the serene and picturesque environment near Chakan on the Chakan-Nagar Road, about 35 km from Pune and around 140 km from Mumbai. The purpose of starting the centre was to help the children in the agricultural background close to Alandi and Chakan.
