The IIT KGP Annual Picnic is here again, and the details have been finalised.
They are given below.

Timings: 9am to 6pm
Address: Kapila Resort, 1284 Ubale Nagar, Wagholi, Near Chokhi Dhani and Next to Dhole Patil College of Engineering, Pune-Nagar Road, Pune

Directions to reach, from Kalyani Nagar-Nagar Road main junction:
Proceed for 10km approx, and take a U-Turn after Talera Ford workshop which comes on the right, and then pass the Talera Ford workshop again, on the left and turn left immediately thereafter into the road,m and before the petrol station. At the left turn there is a large painted sign on the wall "Chokhi Dhani". Then go straight for 2km approx. which leads to Kapila Resort. After entering the resort campus , follow the signs to the Restaurant / Conference Hall.
Parking:
Adequate parking for about 30 cars in front of the restaurant and spill-over parking on the private road leading to it.
Venue:
A portion of the upper level restaurant and also its lower level conference hall - each to accommodate about 120 people.Plus two rooms with attached bathroom, next to the conference room, form young children who may require to sleep /rest
Facilities:
Bar is attached to the upper level restaurant, which may be availed of by alumni who may want to have a drink of beer (Rs.160/- for big bottle). This has to be paid for directly by the alumni Ping pong table is available. Those who want to play, will have to bring their own bats and balls Carrom board is available Small kids play pen is available with see-saw, slide, swing
Food:
Our own caterer, Pratap Caterers, will provide sumptuous food.
Food Menu: Lunch:
Vegetable pulao, lachcha parata,Tur Dal tarka, alu jhuri bhaja, potoler dorma with veg filling, paneer capsicum, doi mach (fish delectably cooked in dahi, bengali style), chicken massala, sweet chutney (tomato or raw mango), papad, green salad or cucumber and finally, Rajbhog (rosogolla)
Breakfast:
Kachori with green peas filling, alu dum, boondi laddu (darbesh), tea/coffee.soft drinks Evening tea: Samosa (Bengali Singra), tea/coffee/soft drinks
Drinking water:
Bottled water will be provided
Charges:
Rs.750/- per adult ; Rs.375/- per child between 5 years to 12 years age and for a child below 5 years there will be no charge (alumni are encouraged not to take a separate plate for child below 5 years, as the caterer will charge based on the number of plates taken, and will levy full charge for children).
The picnic charge includes all food, entertainment and indoor games, but excludes all alcohol. Gin, Vodka, Whiskey & Rum etc. brought by us will be charged extra at concessional rates & will be payable separately, to our Treasurer, Shwetank Upadhyaya. Also the picnic charges shall be paid for in cash to Shwetank/Gautam (secretary) against food coupons at the time of registration counter.
