"This time I will! Will You?"

Democracy is a nation ruled by citizenry. The beauty of democracy is the minority will have their say but the majority will have their way. Democracy is also synonymous with a well knit team that works for a common cause. The general elections are at the doorstep and the importance of your vote cannot be over-stated.

Elections belong to the people. It's their decision. If they decide to turn their back on the fire and burn their behinds, then they will just have to sit on their blisters. Elections are great levelers that put each person on equal footing. A vote from a rich person has the same power as a poor person. The young have the same right to be heard as their elders. Voting gives you the right and voice, to have the say, to tell the world “India wins as a team.” The winning formula is simple: In our collective wisdom we participate, make ourselves count and vote.

While individuals and organizations are spearheading the Your-Vote-Counts cause, we at The Chrysalis Foundation have also decided to chip in with our squirrel’s share. As part of this national consciousness, we shall take a day out from our routine commitments to initiate a campaign “This time I will! Will you?" that will encourage citizens of Pune to fulfill their obligation to good governance. Our team shall fan out the localities of Pune on April 13, knock at their doors and will help shed their inhibitions on casting their all important vote. We earnestly believe that such a campaign replicated in other cities could work wonders for this country. Event is on 13th morning 7am onwards

We are also well aware of the growing sense of futility – the belief that voting is a waste of time and that one vote doesn’t bring about a change. To them we say: If the right to vote no longer existed, the country would no longer survive as a democratic nation, but completely totalitarian.
Many elections have been decided by a single vote. Remember, bad people are elected by good people who don’t vote and even one vote can stand between good and bad governance.
Let's together make a difference, lets together play as a Team, let's together win the game for India. – Yes, "This time I will! Will You?"
